Tim Mason

Senior Litigation Lawyer

Tim is a senior litigation lawyer who brings to IRDI Legal a wealth of extensive and diverse experience gained in over 40 years of legal practice.

He was admitted as a Barrister & Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1976 and commenced work at Jackson McDonald where he was a Partner from 1981 to 2016.

Tim comes to the firm with a broad background in litigation, with particular emphasis on insurance litigation, but particularly compulsory third party (motor vehicle) and other liability claims arising from personal injuries.

Tim has also been actively involved in community and legal activities for more than 40 years, including as:

  • Member of Law Society committees (including Courts Committee, Education Committee, Professional Conduct Committee, Ethics Committee and Access to Justice Committee);
  • Volunteer lawyer with Law Access in 2016-17;
  • Chair of Penrhos College Council from 2006 to 2013; and
  • Convenor of Jackson McDonald Ethics Committee from 2002 to 2016.;

At IRDI Legal, Tim’s work will focus on the conduct of Church specific litigation matters.
